My name is Ebony Jacobs, and I am the creator of this wiki.
This Wiki was designed in order to support an 8 day workshop on Google Applications. The teachers of the Western Cape of Cape Town South Africa will take part in a provincial training program, where they will learn about different technology integration topics. One of the topics that will be offered is: Google Applications: Free & Reliable Resources for the Classroom.
Over 8 days, the workshop will cover many subtopics within Google Applications, why it can be an effective technology tool, and teachers can use it seamlessly in their personal, professional lives, and interactions with their students in the classroom. My technology skills are ever growing, as well as my training skills. I started to get formal training in technology as a tool and for personal use in college. Even before college, I had the chance to use technology in high school as well, but most of my experiencedid not solidify until my tertiary education. At this time I relocated to Cape Town, South Africa and obtained a Technology Integration Internship at a local High School. With this internship, I was able to gain experience training teachers on relevant technology topics and integration strategies. Since then, I have been looking forward to my next opportunity to train teachers on these topics.
